Use Insights to find defensible opportunities
Move from a prioritized signal to its evidence, limitation, and a measurable marketing decision.
What you’ll achieve
- A documented opportunity grounded in source records and converted into an owned, measurable next action.
Follow the workflow
-
1
Open Data → Workspace → Insights
Confirm the workspace and date context. Insights are generated from the coverage available to that workspace, not from every source on the market.
-
2
Filter for the decision
Narrow the company, channel, objective, or period where available. Compare equivalent periods and remove brands that are not strategically relevant.
-
3
Read the claim and evidence separately
Identify what changed, which records support it, the sample size, and whether the metric is observed, estimated, classified, or inferred.
-
4
Open the source examples
Follow links into ads, posts, newsletters, pages, contacts, products, or orders. Verify that the examples represent a repeated pattern rather than one unusual item.
-
5
Check coverage and limitations
Missing channel mappings, partial date coverage, recent syncs, privacy restrictions, and source-specific metrics can change interpretation. Label inference as inference.
-
6
Turn the insight into a testable action
Open or create a Recommendation, campaign brief, audience, content draft, or experiment. State the owner, expected outcome, metric, and review date.
Verify your work
- The stated period and company set match the supporting dashboard
- At least two representative source examples support the pattern where possible
- The follow-up action has an owner and a measurable outcome
If something doesn’t look right
No insight appears
Broaden the date range, check source coverage and company assignments, and allow current data collection to finish.
The insight seems inconsistent
Open the evidence and confirm filters, classifications, and estimated metrics.
The action is too generic
Rewrite it around one audience, message, channel, and success metric.
Limitations and safeguards
Insights prioritize available evidence; they do not expose competitors’ private results or replace strategic and legal review.
