Configure web push for a website
Confirm server readiness, install the website runtime and service worker where required, configure the permission prompt, and register a test browser.

- A server-ready, HTTPS Web Push setup whose contextual prompt can create a real browser subscription and deliver a verified test notification.

Open Settings and select the website source
Find Web Push settings for the exact website or commerce workspace. Do not reuse another site’s configuration or keys.

Confirm server readiness
Settings reports Server ready, Public key ready, and Private key ready when the deployment has valid VAPID credentials. These keys are not entered in the workspace form; if they are missing, the account owner should contact the Leado deployment administrator before continuing.

Install the website runtime and service worker
Confirm the Leado website script is seen. Follow the connector-specific service-worker setup over HTTPS; for Shoper, download `leado-push-sw.js`, upload it through file management, and verify it at the path shown in Settings.

Design the opt-in prompt
Set a clear prompt title, explanation, and button label. Explain the value before asking for the browser permission and avoid showing the native prompt without context.

Set prompt and consent rules
Choose eligible pages, devices, delay, frequency, and consent behavior. Respect a denial and avoid repeatedly asking visitors who have declined.

Turn on the opt-in prompt
Save settings and verify the setup status shows ready. Visit the connected site in a clean compatible browser and complete the real subscription flow.

Register and test this browser
From a saved web-push draft, use Send test to this browser, allow notifications on the test page, and confirm receipt, visual presentation, and click destination.
Verify your work
- Web Push setup status is ready
- A clean browser can see the contextual prompt and subscribe
- Send test to this browser delivers and opens the correct destination
If something doesn’t look right
Settings reports missing keys
Contact the Leado deployment administrator because workspace users cannot add VAPID credentials in this screen.
Setup is not ready
Confirm Server ready, HTTPS, website-script activity, service-worker URL and scope, and saved workspace settings.
The prompt does not appear
Check it is enabled, page/device rules, delay, prior permission, and frequency suppression.
Permission is blocked
Reset notification permission in browser site settings or test in a new profile.
Limitations and safeguards
iOS, browser, and operating-system support and presentation vary; private browsing and some blockers can prevent persistent subscriptions.
